Nagoya TV Tower
Japan’s Oldest TV Tower, Nestled in a Sprawling Public Park

Nagoya TV Tower

Take in the exhilarating view from 100 m up, then relax in the public park below
Rising high above Hisaya Odori Park in central Nagoya’s Sakae area, the 180 m tall Nagoya TV Tower is the oldest structure of its kind in Japan. 100 m up the tower you’ll find the Sky Balcony, which includes a small outdoor garden area where you can enjoy the passing breeze in a lush green environment. This observation deck also features the monument known as Lover’s Sanctuary, a heart-shaped object that is popular for romantic marriage proposals and as a backdrop for photos.
Sky Deck, the tower’s second indoor observation deck, is 90 m above the ground. Watch the sun set over the Nagoya skyline or enjoy the city’s breathtaking glittering nightscape. On the first floor of the tower you’ll find a cafe, beer garden, and souvenir shop with TV Tower souvenirs. At night, the tower illuminates the city with brilliant lights that reflect the seasons.
After experiencing all that Nagoya TV Tower has to offer, why not take a relaxing stroll in Hisaya Odori Park below? Stretching over two kilometers from north to south, this beautiful oasis in the heart of the city has a carp-filled river, a fountain clock that shows the time in Nagoya’s sister city of Los Angeles, a flower clock, and much more.
