If you want to get the most out of your visit to Nikko National Park, make sure to stop by the Nikko Yumoto Visitor Center. Here you’ll find plenty of information so you can fully enjoy Nikko National Park. Information panels and videos provide details on the plants and animals you may encounter in Okunikko. Hiking course times and detailed route explanations are also available. The Center also has real-time information on weather and traffic. Make sure to stop by for a productive walk and sightseeing in Nikko National Park.
Just a short walk from the Visitor Center you’ll find plenty of sightseeing spots, such as Okunikko Yumoto Onsen, Yudaki Falls, Yunoko Lake, and the Anyo no Yu foot baths. This is a great place to gather information and find the route you want to follow. Course maps of the national park can be found at the Visitor Center. There are a total of three courses, and snowshoes or hiking poles can be rented if needed. The staff can provide advice if you’re not sure which course is the best for you. Visitor Center services are free of charge.

  • From the Utsunomiya IC on the Tohoku Expressway, take the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road (automobiles only) and get off at the Kiyotaki IC. Around 40 minutes to Yumoto by National Route 120.

    Take the Yumoto Onsen bound bus from JR Nikko Station or Tobu-Nikko Station on the Tobu Line. Time required: About 1 hour 25 minutes
