Located on the 1st floor of the hotel, the restaurant’s antique brick interior complements the Morioka cityscape, and its casual, relaxed atmosphere is also very appealing. At lunch time, enjoy sampling a buffet-style menu rooted in Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisine that changes monthly and comes recommended by the chef.

Kaijuso is named after the villa of the same name belonging to Hara Takashi, who served as the prime minister of Japan during the Taisho era. The inside of the restaurant is designed to resemble a Japanese garden, resulting in a comfortable, calming atmosphere. Enjoy a refreshing lunch or dinner experience in a unique Japanese-style atmosphere whether sitting at a table or the counter. Kaijuso’s course dishes are made with hearty servings of seasonal Iwate ingredients. Also available are a wide variety of à la carte dishes including sashimi and grilled foods that offer perfect compatibility with the restaurant’s selection of local Iwate sake and sake imported from all over Japan.
